Get to Know Me
I’m Arhan Chethan Anand, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to my chess journey. Here, you’ll find updates on my training sessions, fierce matches, and memorable tournaments—all the moments that continue to shape me as a player.
I was born in Bangalore in 2008. At six years old, boredom led me to chess, thanks to my father who compared the game to a full-blown war. Excited by the idea of battle, I took to chess like a fish to water.
My earliest formal training began at Chess Shoots Academy, where I competed in local tournaments and gradually improved my skills. After notable performances, I moved on to train under Shesha Sir, Hanumantha Sir, Gavi Sir, Jayaram Sir, and eventually GM Aleksander Goloshchapov from Ukraine.
I am now under the guidance of GM Swayams Mishra, continuing to sharpen my play. By age 15, I had earned the title of International Master, and I’m currently rated 2394 ELO. I love every minute I spend at the board and can’t wait to share more of my journey with you!
